Ever had an indecisive moment about making a purchase at an opshop and left the item behind?
I think we’ve all been there and we’ve all kicked ourselves when we got home because a) most of the time the item was cheaper than a cheeseburger and b) your purchase would have helped a charity!
It really is a no brainer when you’re opshopping, yet somehow we lose perspective…I’m the biggest culprit! I found an incredible brand new jumpsuit yesterday but it was $12.95, which is expensive in op shop terms, but put me in a shopping mall and it’s an absolute steal! Even so, I left it behind and am now suffering a serious case of opshop regret (insert crying cat emoji here).
So remember the wise words of Eminem next time you’re in a thrift store…you only get one shot!
This is so true! Lately though, I’ve gone back to see if the item was still there and it has been….how lucky and rare is that? I guess it’s thrift store destiny.
So true! I know that feeling! I’m so used to thinking in terms of op-shop prices, as I hardly ever buy full-price new retail. It really is almost always a great bargain compared to new retail prices.
