After pumping out two cute kiddies, my babetown pal, Kirsty, was ready for a revamp…move over maternity wear! So she set me a $50 op shop challenge to find her some new threads.
She did her homework and read the 10 Commandments of Op Shopping beforehand and we hit the road last Saturday.
Keeping to the op shops in her hood, we struck gold, with a few quality purchases at the McIntyre Centre Thrift Store in Graceville and the RSPCA Op Shop in Sherwood, but the icing on the cake was the half price sale at the Steeple Op Shop in Graceville…it was like Christmas!
Amongst the makeover spoils Kirsty scored a pure wool skirt from Switzerland for $5, a handbag for $1.50, an alpaca sweater for $10, a drop pleat skirt for $2.50 and even a baby blue tea cup for $2.
Such special finds x
LOVE that skirt. And I’ve always wanted to go to that church op shop in Graceville (or, as I like to call it, Graceland). Great finds!
Looks like u got some great bargains. Sign me up for the $50 challenge!
